Frequently Asked Questions

Most of our residential projects in areas like Stratford or Warwick take between 2 to 4 weeks. Small porcelain patios or driveway refreshes might take 5–7 working days, while full-scale commercial re-designs or tiered gardens can take 6+ weeks. We provide a detailed project timeline before we break ground so you know exactly when your space will be usable again.

Generally, no, but there are local exceptions. In Warwickshire Conservation Areas or for front driveways over 5m² that aren't permeable (like non-porous stone), you might need SuDS (Sustainable Drainage Systems) compliance or council approval. We handle the assessment of "Permitted Development" rights for every project to ensure your new build is fully compliant with local Stratford-on-Avon or Warwick District Council guidelines.

Given the heavy clay soil common in the Avon Valley, drainage is key. We highly recommend Porcelain paving; it’s non-porous, slip-resistant, and won't host the moss/algae that traditional sandstone often does in damp British winters. For greenery, we suggest "right plant, right place" schemes using hardy perennials that thrive in Warwickshire’s specific hardiness zone

While we build year-round, the ideal time to book is Autumn or Winter. This ensures the "heavy" construction is finished before Spring, allowing your new plants to establish during the growing season. Booking early also secures your spot in our summer schedule, which typically fills up 3–4 months in advance across South Warwickshire.

Many gardens in Leamington and Warwick sit on heavy clay which leads to "ponding." We don't just lay stone on top; we install sub-surface land drains and use a specific "Type 1" MOT base with a grit sand or mortar mix to ensure water moves away from your home’s foundations. We build gardens that look great in the sun but perform perfectly in the rain

Under current UK legislation, all new commercial developments must demonstrate a 10% Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG). At Taylor Landscape, we work alongside ecological consultants to design planting schemes that use native Warwickshire species to meet these targets. From installing "living walls" to creating wildflower meadows on industrial sites, we ensure your project passes planning hurdles while enhancing local ecology

We don't just react to overgrowth; we prevent it. Our commercial maintenance contracts in areas like Warwick Technology Park or Leamington Retail Park include monthly site audits, precision pruning, and 24-hour emergency debris clearance. By maintaining high-visibility areas consistently, we help businesses improve "curb appeal" and ensure safe, clear access for staff and customers year-round

Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) are essential for commercial hardscaping to prevent flooding. We specialise in installing permeable block paving, attenuation crates, and rain gardens that manage water at the source. This is particularly vital for Warwickshire businesses situated near the Avon or Arrow rivers, where local flood risk management is a priority for planning approval.

Absolute safety is our baseline. Taylor Landscape & Design is fully insured with £10m Public and Employers' Liability insurance. Our teams are CSCS cardholders, and we provide site-specific Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) before any commercial project begins. Whether we are working on a live construction site or a busy office frontage, we adhere to the strictest H&S protocols to protect your business and the public.

High-quality landscaping isn't an expense; it’s a capital improvement. Studies show that well-designed outdoor break-out areas and green infrastructure can increase commercial rental values by up to 7% to 15%. By creating biophilic spaces where employees actually want to spend time, you improve staff retention and property desirability. We focus on "hardy, high-impact" designs that deliver maximum aesthetic value with manageable long-term maintenance costs.
